Kathy Bush is a self-taught artist who finds her inspiration like the Impressionist painters did: in color and light. She splits her time between outdoors plein air painting and doing figurative artwork. Kathy is a founding member of Montgomery Portrait Artists, MPA, a portrait group of local artists, that have bonded together for portrait and figure painting in studios with live models; also a signature member of Maryland Society of Portrait Painters. She recently taught watercolor class in Ireland and has taught private classes in watercolors and oils. Kathy has been painting for over 30 years.
