Kevin Thompson

Kevin Thompson (a.k.a. Zobje) is a multidisciplinary artist working across professional photography, painting, digital art, and more. His creative journey is fueled by a deep curiosity about the world of art and the unseen forces that shape us. Whether he’s working with oil pastels, spray paint, acrylic, or digital tools, he’s always exploring the connection between dreams, creativity, identity, spirituality, and the environment we live in.

Born in Washington, DC, Kevin was raised in Howard County, Maryland, in Owen Brown Village. Photography was his first real entry point into the art world, leading to his debut exhibition, Genesis. Pursuing his passion, Kevin earned a professional photography certification from the Washington School of Photography in 2016. He later graduated with an associate degree in Fine Art Photography from the Delaware College of Art and Design in 2019.

Over the years, he has continued to nurture his creativity through drawings and woodcutting classes, even teaching himself how to build custom canvas frames. This space is just the beginning of everything he’s becoming as an artist.  Each piece he creates is an invitation for viewers to feel, think, and be inspired. Whether that’s joy, curiosity, sadness, or a sense of comfort and discomfort. He believes that through honest visual symbolism or storytelling, we can reflect on who we are and who we might become in the future. This marks a foundation for future art work to connect with those who seek fun creativity and art that inspires questions. It’s not about showing who he is as an artist but offering a starting place for others to explore their own idea of growth and creativity.
